I didn’t know much about the life of Caligula before I went, but I was really impressed. The actors were brilliant – they made the audience feel welcome into their story right from the opening words and their movements and stage setting made it feel immersive like we were part of the scenes happening around us. The story was brought to life really vividly without and props, and relied completely on the performances and imagination of the actors. It was great for me to see the Le Coq school of clown on show for the first time with a magnetic performance
