Last week my class and I went to the theatre to see Tom Corradini’s “Mister Jackpot.” We’d already read and analyzed the play’s text to better understand it, but seeing it on stage was truly amazing. The actor managed to convey the setting and the scenes through his body alone, without ever stopping— astonishing!
It was very difficult to address such sensitive topics while also having to engage an audience that consisted only of teenagers, but they did it!
I recommend everyone to go see this show to think about addiction from a different perspective, and to consider how it severely affects every aspect of someone’s life.
