Ottimo Spettacolo

The two very talented actors were wonderfully successful in engaging the audience and the show was very much appreciated by all.

Although its main theme dealt with a highly controversial socio-economic and political issue, such as Brexit, it was conveyed with striking clarity for the entire audience, Italian students of a secondary school in Conegliano (TV). The screenplay and the clever, brilliant dialogues allowed everyone to grasp and fully understand the deep contrasts generated by the difficult choice the people of the UK were forced to make between remain or leave.

Moreover, the show outlined other important themes too, such as for instance how crucial it is to distinguish between real and fake news. Lastly, it also showed the various contradictions that characterize British society on Brexit, as well as those concerning the generation gap that involve the two protagonists – a father and a son –, which also encompass western society on its whole; finally it highlights the specific emotional and/or rational thoughts stemming from the different ways parents and children look at the world that, at times, also revealing deep conflicts which stress their belonging to different age groups.
