Red Olivia is a timid child, sent alone into the forest to discover a side of herself that had remained hidden until then.
The show revisits in a modern key the symbolic archetypes of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale: the transition from childhood to puberty (represented by the color red), facing the fears of a hostile surrounding world (the black forest) , the relationship with the masculine (the wolf) and the phases of femininity (the little girl, the mother, the grandmother).
Red Olivia represents the challenge of individual growth and learning the canons of personal responsibility.
The protagonist must learn to face the challenges of the forest alone without being able to rely on the figure of her mother, too busy to accompany her, or her grandmother, represented as a woman afflicted by the ailments of age.
In facing the abyss of her fears, Red Olivia will discover that within her there is a superior strength, which will push her to untie the invisible chains to which she was tied.
